To stay ahead of counterfeiters the secure printing industry continuously needs new security features. Recently a new technology, called MagID, has been developed that uses existing materials and capabilities, is low-cost and environmentally sustainable. It uses magnetisable ink, which is currently used for check printing. We will explain how it works and give an example of an application in the high security printing industry.
