NovaVera’s Intelligent Materials® platform introduces a new class of inorganic taggants engineered for the next generation of high-security printing and document authentication. Built on our patented nano-crystallography, these materials exhibit exceptionally consistent optical and physical signatures, enabling highly reliable machine detection. Their sub-micron particle size allows them to pass seamlessly through standard inkjet printer heads; making NovaVera the only inorganic taggant solution compatible with many digital printing workflows for banknotes, ID documents, and consumer goods.
Each material’s optical signature can be precisely programmed, enabling an effectively infinite library of unique identifiers. This facilitates multi-layered authentication architectures, granular issuance control, and serialized or document-specific security features that cannot be cloned or predicted.
Our taggants support high-speed detection for industrial production environments as well as in-field handheld verification, ensuring robust security from manufacturing through end-use. NovaVera is currently scaling globally and has supplied high-security materials to G7 central banks including those in Europe and North America for more than a decade.
This presentation will demonstrate how Intelligent Materials® can be integrated into substrates, inks, and printing processes to strengthen the protection, personalization, and verification of currency and identity documents across EMEA.
