We are delighted to present on behalf of Banknote Factory of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan the 20 000 Tenge commemorative banknote issued in 2021 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This commemorative banknote showcases the rich history, culture, and identity of Kazakhstan. Printed on a unique composite substrate called Durasafe, the banknote includes numerous security features that were used for the first time in a circulating banknote.
At the second stage, the design underwent slight modifications to integrate it into the regular series of banknotes. The revised banknote was issued in October 2022 and is now in circulation alongside other denominations.
