In collaboration with our Latvian partner, we proudly announce a significant breakthrough—the deployment of advanced ePassports in Latvia, setting a new benchmark for secure travel and document verification. Veridos and our Latvian partner would like to present this new passport to the world at HSP EMEA.
Veridos’ cutting-edge ePassports for Latvia boast innovative security features, with the standout addition being a color photo—a groundbreaking feature shared only with Germany within the European Union. This evolution positions Latvia as a distinguished innovator, showcasing confidence in Veridos’ expertise and emphasizing our commitment to advanced security features.

Introduced at HSP EMEA in 2023, the ePassport incorporates three new security features: CLIP ID Echo, Amber ID, Diamond ID, and Spectre ID. CLIP ID Echo introduces a repeated portrait and selectively visible biographical data, merging color photos with laser engraving for enhanced security. The additional features—Amber ID, Diamond ID, and Spectre ID—further fortify the ePassports, offering heightened security through metallic optically variable windows, UV-fluorescent color, and dynamic effects visible upon tilting the card.

The integration of a color photo in the ePassport marks a notable milestone in security document evolution. In conclusion, our collaborative effort with the Portuguese state printer INCM underscores pragmatic advancements in redefining travel security, reflecting innovation, sophistication, and secure travel in Latvia’s new ePassport.
