Mixed banknote substrate circulation requires a special shredding and destruction process to enable sustainable recycling of the shreds.
Hunkeler Systeme has developed a “cotton / polymer separation system” which handle shredded cotton / polymer notes at the same time with an automated change over feature. This separation system can be connected either to an online and/or offline processing / shredding module. The challenge of mix substrates running in a parallel production is addressed.
