SMI is regarded as one of the world’s leading technical and commercial advisory companies specialising in the design, specification and production of banknote and coins. Key areas of expertise include the objective evaluation of banknote security features; banknote testing to ensure compliance with contractual specifications; assisting Central Banks to manage their evolving cash cycle; and the design and layout of banknote printing, minting and cash centre facilities for which SMI is currently working on a couple of large infrastructural projects for two major Central Banks in the Asia Pacific region.
